Hari rabu kemarin saya baru saja berkunjung ke pabrik pengolahan limbah plastik milik seorang teman. Proses produksinya sangatlah sederhana. Limbah plastik (botol dan cup bekas minuman) yang dibeli
dari lapak-lapang pengepul dibersihkan dari label yg menembel maupun tutup plastiknya. Kemudian dimasukkan ke mesin perajang sehingga berukuran sekitar 1cmx1cm.
Rajangan dicuci dan dikeringkan dengan sistem sentrifugal. Untuk menghilangkan airnya dilakukan penjemuran di bawah matahari. Rajangan yg kering tadi bisa langsung dijual atau dibuat pelet. Temenku sih lebih suka menjualnya dalam bentuk rajangan karena lebih mudah menjualnya. Pihak pabrik (yg hanya merajangnya lebih halus dan mencucinya lebih bersih) sebelum menjualnya ke industri polyeurethane bahkan berani membayar cash on delivery. Rata2 keuntungan per kg bahan siap jual minimal Rp 1.500,00. Temenku mampu memproduksi sekurang2nya 2 ton perhari. Dikurangi susut dan biaya produksi netprofite bisa diatas Rp 1.000,00 per kg.
Menurut temenku itu, masalah terbesar ada memaintain ketersedian supply bahan limbah di tingkat pengepul. Selain itu juga perlu kehati2an dalam membeli (harus cash keras) karena pengepul sering curang dengan merendam plastik dalam air, bahkan ada yg memasukkan batu atau besi bekas.
Trus modal yg diperlukan untuk peralatan tidak terlalu mahal, bahkan banyak pabrik yg siap memberikan secara cuma2 asal mampu nyetor 5 ton per minggu.
Tentu yg aku ceritain di atas, cuman garis besarnya aja. kl ada yg mo ngobrol ato nanya2 ma temenku, japri aja, ntar aku kasi no telpnya deh. Sedikit bocoran soal temenku itu, dia memulai bisnis ini awal tahun 2007. Saat itu dia sudah memiliki bengkel dengan netprofite 40-50 jt dengan aset bengkelnya skitar 12m. Kalau saja tidak dilarang oleh orang tuanya, dia sangat ingin menjual bengkelnya agar bisa allout di bisnis limbah. Hebatnya, dia masih mau nyambangi lapak pengepul limbah yg bau banget pake cygnusnya. Karena banyak yg ga tau kl cygnus mahal, akhirnya dia ganti pake mercy E260 deh…
